Backgrounds
First, you'll want to decide what type of background you want for your site. Some people like completely black, white or maybe a straight lime or maroon colored background. Other people like designer backgrounds like the one you see in the background of this page (I have many you can choose from). Just remember, choosing a designer background does effect the loading time of the page. If you want a lot of pictures or animated images on your site, you'll want a more simple background, but if you only will have a few pictures and text, you can go with a more elaborate background.
