Animated Gifs!
You don't have to have these, but they are definately worth giving a look. These are simply flashy little animated pictures, like the dog below, that draw attention. You can use one to welcome in your visitors, one to point to something important, one for fun, one for e-mail or one to draw attention to your guestbook. The effective use of a few well placed animated gifs can be very eye catching and interesting, but watch out - many people go overboard with them and it distracts from the content. Always keep in mind, visitors may have a slow internet connection and may not be able to load them all.
